Meet Raquel Payton, Gary Payton’s Daughter

Raquel Payton is the daughter of retired basketball player Gary Payton and Monique James, throughout her father’s 13-year career with Seattle supersonics he won the hearts of many due to the many goals and assists given.

Her mother Monique played a very huge in her upbringing as more often Gary would be away working and she would be around taking care of the children.

Gary’s only daughter, Raquel, was born to him and his former wife, Monique. The pair did an excellent job of keeping her out of the spotlight and giving her a great normal childhood.

In 2019, Gary took to Facebook to share a post of his daughter, which he seldom did, to celebrate her birthday.

The exact date of birth of Raquel Payton is not known to the media. However other publications claimed she’s in her 20s as of 2022.

Raquel Payton attended spring valley high school before proceeding to Westwind preparatory academy. Unlike her elder brother Gary Payton II who is following the footsteps of his dad, Raquel seems not to be interested in the game.

Since his retirement in 2007, the legendary former basketball player Gary Payton has withdrawn from the public eye. He has four adult children.

From the 1990s to the late 2000s, Gary Payton was the best basketball player in the world. Most notably, he played with the Seattle Supersonics for thirteen years, where he began his career as a point guard.

The NBA dubbed him “The Glove”, and he became one of the league’s most outstanding defenders. Payton chose to remarry Monique James in June 1997 to start a family.

Together, they have three kids: Raquel, Gary II, and Julian, two sons. In the end, he and Monique parted ways. Gary Jr. was his second child with a different woman.
